Ask CDT: SOPA and PIPA

If you follow tech news, you’ve likely heard about the Stop Online Piracy (H.R. 3261) and Protect IP Acts (S. 968) by now. The press coverage has been overwhelming, as have the grassroots efforts to get Congress to reject these bills, otherwise known as SOPA and PIPA.

For those who are considering contacting their Representatives about the bills—or for those who have general questions—we’re bringing back the “Ask CDT” series for a special installment on SOPA and PIPA. CDT Policy Analyst Andew McDiarmid will be taking questions until Thursday, December 8.

Please leave your questions in the comments section below or on Twitter using the hashtag #AskCDT, and Andrew will respond as quickly as possible.
