Letters to Congressmen Ron Wyden and Jared Polis re: Digital Millennium Copyright Act reform

U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Representative Jared Polis, D-Colo., introduced a bill to boost security research, journalism and freedom of expression by reforming outdated provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

CDT has written a letter to each Congressman supporting the proposed legislation (Wyden; Polis).

For greater context on this issue, refer to Senator Wyden’s announcement about the bill as well as this boingboing article citing the DMCA as “America’s most dangerous computer law.”
