CDT and NCLD – Hidden Harms: Mental Health and Students with Disabilities

Date: November 3, 2022
Time: 4-5 PM ET

Schools across the country view student activity monitoring as a way to protect the wellbeing of learners. However, research has shown that these technologies can adversely affect youth mental health. Overlooked groups, such as students with disabilities, often report negative experiences with these invasive programs.

How can stakeholders in the field of education better support learners facing these challenges? Elizabeth Laird and Cody Venzke of CDT, as well as Lindsay Kubatzky and Erin Crosby of NCLD, will explore how schools can take action to meet the needs of students. We hope you will add your voice to this ever-important conversation.
