Sahana Srinivasan

Visiting Fellow, Equity in Civic Tech

Sahana Srinivasan is a Visiting Fellow on CDT’s Equity in Civic Technology team and with the AI Governance Lab. Her research focuses on AI governance processes and the responsible, equitable use of AI by public agencies.

Prior to her time at CDT, Sahana worked at Schmidt Futures on AI ethics and safety funding strategy. Sahana also previously worked at the voting information nonprofit Democracy Works, where she launched the TurboVote tool to preregister teenagers to vote and developed guidance around AI and elections, and at Khan Academy, where she helped build online tools for teachers.

Sahana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with a minor in Government from Harvard University, where she focused on studying the societal impacts of technology.
