CDT Joins Coalition Against Dangerous UK Online Safety Bill
CDT is joining more than 80 civil society organizations, academics, and cyber experts from 23 countries who have written to the UK government raising the alarm about threats to security and privacy in the Online Safety Bill. These powers would require scanning encrypted messaging apps, such as WhatsApp and Signal, posing a danger to chat services that people use daily to connect securely.
