CDT CTO Signs Letter Warning EU Commission about Threats to Web Security from eIDAS Amendment

The Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) continues to speak out about the harms of the European Commission proposed amendment the Regulation on electronic identification and trust services (eIDAS) that would undermine the existing and hard-fought ecosystem of trust in the web.

CDT’s chief technologist Mallory Knodel sits on the Internet Architecture Board (IAB) and in this capacity has signed a statement along with Vint Cerf and other internet pioneers.
