Report Launch: Scaling Trust on the Web

The Digital Forensic Research Lab hosts a launch event for the Task Force for a Trustworthy Future Web’s comprehensive report.

Time: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET

Date: Wednesday, June 21

The Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab is pleased to present the launch of the Task Force for a Trustworthy Future Web’s final report: Scaling Trust on the Web. Tune in on Wednesday, June 21 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. PT for a briefing on the Task Force findings. Leading experts will discuss the national security implications of the future web and the growth of generative AI.

The Task Force, comprised of 40 experts spanning industry, civil society, and a range of other sectors, spent five months exploring the architecture, communities, and mechanisms that have formed to address challenges presented by and amplified through online spaces. It also surveyed the emerging technologies that will impact those spaces now and in the future. Scaling Trust on the Web is the culmination of that work: it covers the emergence of a trust and safety field, global efforts to build more resilient and accountable technology practices, the application of the gaming sector to the future digital landscape, the unique challenges and opportunities presented by immersive or federated spaces, children’s rights, and more.

Join us on Wednesday to learn about the Task Force’s recommendations for where investments and new initiatives can help to build the online spaces democracies and society requires.
