Terms like Bitcoin, blockchain, and mining are entering the mainstream — but to the unacquainted, it can be hard to know where to start. What is the blockchain, after all? Is it truly the solution to the world’s problems? How are cryptocurrencies acquired and traded? How does it all work?
Join CDT fellow and political economist Benjamin Dean for a discussion on the basics of cryptocurrency and the associated policy issues. We will also have fried chicken and doughnuts!
When: Wednesday, October 18, 2017, 12-1:30 PM.
Lunch from Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken will begin at 12, and the talk will start at 12:30.
Where: Center for Democracy & Technology, 1401 K Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20005.
Seats are limited, so be sure to register soon. Participation is free and lunch will be provided.
