CDT will host a Health Privacy Breakfast Panel on Privacy and Security in the HITECH Era

HITECH included a number of important changes to the HIPAA privacy rules, and California has also recently upgraded its health privacy protections. But do we have a comprehensive privacy and security framework of protections that will support robust electronic health information exchange? The panel will discuss the issues that remain to be resolved and ongoing efforts in California and nationally to build the "next generation" of health privacy.
