Michal Luria is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Democracy & Technology, leading the organization’s research on AI chatbots and child safety online. She holds a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University. Luria’s expertise is in qualitative, mixed-methods, and human-centered research that explores and critiques interactions with emerging technologies, translating insights into policy considerations, ethical discussions and advocacy.
