Magdalena is the Legal and Advocacy Officer for the Equity and Data Programme at CDT Europe. In her capacity, she supports CDT’s work on the protection and promotion of human rights in the context of emerging technologies. This includes in particular working towards a strong protection of human rights in the implementation of EU legislation on artificial intelligence.
Magdalena has a background mostly in European equality and non-discrimination law. Before joining CDT Europe, she worked at Equinet – The European Network of Equality Bodies on a wide range of legal and policy issues relating to equality and non-discrimination at a European level and in different European countries. In particular, she focused on algorithmic discrimination and Equality Bodies’ role under the AI Act.
She also previously worked for the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities and the European network of legal experts in gender equality and non-discrimination.
Magdalena holds an LL.M in Public International Law with a specialisation in human rights law from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and law from the University of Erfurt in Germany.
