Morten Kjaerum, adjunct professor at Aalborg University, is a human rights expert who previously directed the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), and the Danish Institute for Human Rights. On the global stage, he has served as a member of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) and chaired the International Coordination Committee for National Human Rights Institutions.
