Eric Muhlheim is Chief Financial Officer of Mozilla Corporation overseeing the company’s long-term financial strategy, investment priorities, and business diversification as AI reshapes the internet and browsers become increasingly important technology platforms.
Since joining Mozilla, Eric has strengthened the organization by introducing a financial framework that improved capital allocation and overhauling Mozilla’s investment policy, increasing corporate reserves by more than 40 percent. He also helped diversify Mozilla’s business beyond traditional search partnerships, played a key role in restructuring the broader Mozilla organization, serves as Secretary of Mozilla Ventures, and testified as an expert witness in the U.S. Department of Justice’s landmark antitrust case involving Google’s search business.
Before Mozilla, Eric served as CFO and Chief Administrative Officer at BuzzFeed and previously held CFO roles at OpenX Technologies and Helix Education. He began his career at The Walt Disney Company, where he spent 15 years leading acquisitions and international expansion. Eric holds a mathematics degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
