Europe’s New Age of Innovation
RAID – Regulation of AI, Internet and Data – is an annual forum aimed at shaping innovation, growth and trust in the digital economy. Bringing together regulators, policymakers, industry leaders and legal experts, RAID provides a space to explore how AI, data and platform rules are evolving – and how they can be implemented in practice. This year’s conference will be taking place on 28-29 September 2026 at Stanhope Hotel in Brussels.
CDT Europe’s Counsel and Director of the Equity and Data Programme, Laura Lazaro Cabrera, will be speaking on a panel on Tuesday 29 September 2026, 10.20-11.10 CET, about “TRUSTED AI – Policy, innovation and implementation”, exploring the following questions:
- How can policymakers and industry create the conditions for trustworthy AI that is innovative, secure, and worthy of public confidence?
- How can the AI Act and the wider EU digital regulatory framework provide legal certainty while enabling innovation, investment, and the responsible deployment of AI across sectors
- What practical steps are needed from policymakers, regulators and industry to ensure effective implementation of the AI Act and consistent application across use cases and sectors?
- How can interoperability, international cooperation, and converging regulatory approaches support trusted AI and strengthen public confidence in global digital markets?
