Hannah Christensen is a Fellow on CDT’s Elections & Democracy team. She brings a background in human rights, information ecosystems, and intersectional gender justice to CDT’s work on trustworthy elections and democratic resilience.
Before joining CDT, she completed her graduate dissertation, conducting open-source qualitative research examining how nationalist and identity-based political narratives spread, shape public perception, and mobilize support.
Hannah previously worked with Outright International, where she supported LGBTIQ advocacy at the United Nations through policy analysis, adversarial narrative monitoring, and member-state position analysis. She monitored the progress of UNGA Resolution A/C.3/78/L.51 on the promotion of democratization and enhancing elections, researched inclusive transitional justice mechanisms, and drafted Outright’s submission on inclusive gender justice for the 68th Commission on the Status of Women.
Hannah holds an MPhil in International Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin and a B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College.
