Kevin Donnelly
Assistant Director, Foundation Relations
As Assistant Director for Foundation Relations on the Development & External Affairs team, Kevin (he/him) builds and stewards relationships with foundation and government partners supporting CDT’s work to promote tech policies and practices that protect people’s rights and our democracy. His work also includes grants management, donor communications, and reporting.
Prior to joining CDT in September 2024, Kevin was a Senior Development and Donor Relations Officer at New America, where he led their corporate engagement program, managed development events and external affairs, and supported overall development strategy. Before New America, he worked in donor relations at the Greater Washington Community Foundation, where he helped donor-advised fundholders realize their philanthropic visions and support community-based nonprofit organizations.
Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics and a master’s degree in Public Policy specializing in nonprofit management from the University of Maryland, College Park. An avid reader, film lover, and novice golfer, when he’s not at work you can find Kevin catching the newest release at his local movie theater or trying (not always successfully) to get his handicap down at the links.
