Katie ​​McInnis

Privacy & Technology Fellow

Katie ​​McInnis was a Privacy & Technology Fellow at CDT. Her work focused on the consumer’s right to privacy and the intersection between civil rights and big data.

Before joining CDT in 2015, Katie was a student advocate in the Federal Legislation and Administrative Clinic at Georgetown University Law Center, advancing the cause of criminal justice and civil rights in the area of big data and technology through advocacy with Congress and the Executive Branch. As a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary during the summer of 2014, Katie conducted legal research and prepared memoranda for federal court nominations, as well as legal and policy issues in
​immigration, ​corporate personhood, health care reform, and national security, torture and detention.

Katie holds a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Modern Critical Race Perspectives. She holds a B.A. from Bard College in History and Sociology with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies.
