Giulia Papapietro

Communications Trainee, CDT Europe

Giulia Papapietro is the Communications Trainee at the Centre for Democracy & Technology Europe. She assists the Advocacy and Communications Officer with the development of the office’s advocacy strategy, the management of social media, and the support of programme directors in their areas of responsibility. She also contributes to the drafting of the EU Tech Brief and the AI Bulletin newsletter.

Before joining CDT Europe, Giulia was working as a trainee in the Cabinet of Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli at the European Commission in Brussels, where she supported the cabinet’s work on the equality portfolio, covering gender equality, LGBTIQ+ rights, Roma people, and the rights of persons with disabilities. She contributed to the Commissioner’s communication efforts, including press conferences, interviews, high-level events, and social media.

A keen advocate for gender equality, youth engagement, and sustainable development, she worked on several projects and events connected to these topics.

Giulia holds an Advanced Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from LUISS Guido Carli.
