AI Governance Fellow

Chinmay Deshpande is an AI Governance Fellow at the Center for Democracy and Technology.

Chinmay holds a BA in Philosophy and Mathematics from Harvard University. There, he conducted research on a wide range of topics concerning AI and its impacts on society. Among other issues, his previous work has focused on assessing how often generative AI systems reproduce human artists’ work, investigating large language models’ impact on disinformation, and developing quantitative models of trends in AI research and development. At Harvard, he also developed and led educational programming about AI targeted at public policy students.
