‘Internet Freedom’ Part of GOP, Dems Platform Plank

Internet freedom, as a concept, is set to become a part of the political platform plank for both the Republicans and Democrats.  It will be the first time the concept has appeared in either party’s platform. 

The move comes amid dozens of recent demands from Internet activists and other groups, each flexing their newly found political clout in the aftermath of the upset victory the groups engineered with their protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act earlier this year.
