Facebook Changes App Permissions, But Critics Say It’s Not Enough

Facebook on Wednesday rolled out changes to its permission settings for third-party apps that run on the social networking site and often access information about users and their friends.

The changes, which Facebook annouced last August and introduced in April, follow criticism from regulators, including the Candian Privacy Commissioner , that the site needed to give users more control over what sorts of information they share with apps.
