Congress Turns Its Attention to Privacy in the Cloud

Members of Congress are focusing on the unforeseen consequences of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) and its impact on the future of cloud computing. Under the 1986 law, law enforcement and others have easier access to data stored on cloud services and remote servers than data on an individual hard drive or in a filing cabinet.
