Internet Stakeholders Gather To Discuss Internet Governance Forum
Internet stakeholders are gathering in Geneva this week to discuss the future of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), an entity authorized by world leaders at the conclusion of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) last November. The forum is intended to be a venue for stakeholders throughout the global Internet community to discuss concerns relating to Internet governance. CDT believes the forum is a unique opportunity, but one that poses significant challenges. In comments submitted to forum organizers, CDT offered suggestions for the scope and makeup of the IGF.
