CDT Associate Director Alan Davidson testified at the House Judiciary Committee Crime Subcommittee hearing on "Fighting Cybercrime - Efforts by Federal Law Enforcement" on Tuesday, June 12, 2001. Other witnesses included the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the Secret Service. CDT's testimony called on Congress to revise outdated wiretapping and surveillance laws that provide inadequate privacy protections for government access to sensitive data.
