CDT Supports Two Massachusetts Comprehensive Privacy Bills

Eric Null, Co-Director of the Privacy & Data Project at the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT), provided testimony recently before the General Court of Massachusetts’s hearing of the Joint Committee on Advanced Information Technology, the Internet, and Cybersecurity.

Eric testified in support of H.78, Massachusetts Consumer Data Privacy Act, and H.104/S.29/S.45, Massachusetts Data Privacy Act.

CDT supported these two strong comprehensive privacy bills in Massachusetts, both of which would provide meaningful data minimization, civil rights protections, and enforcement. The testimony provides context and detail for why those protections are important to include in a privacy law.
