Dates: Monday and Tuesday, September 16-17, 2024

Times: Day One: 3-5:00 pm ET / 12-2:00 pm PT,  Day Two: noon-2:30 pm ET / 9-11:30 am PT

In the United States, courts, regulators, and lawmakers are all grappling with efforts to protect the integrity of elections and support voters’ access to authoritative election information, while respecting robust and necessary protections for political expression. Regulators and legislators are closely examining the proliferation of advanced AI technologies, including their use in campaigning and other electoral activity, and considering a range of responses implicating speakers’ constitutional rights to freedom of speech and assembly

Join us as we discuss the legal frameworks and technical infrastructure needed to bolster free expression and protect free and fair elections globally. We’ll also consider questions related to the risks and potential benefits new AI technologies pose for 2024’s particularly high-stakes elections. Throughout the event, we’ll hear from legal experts, technologists, election experts, campaigners, and policymakers about what’s at stake in this important year for democracy.

Accessibility: If you have questions, concerns, or access needs, please contact [email protected] in advance of the event.
