The 48th annual AAAS Science & Technology Policy Forum will gather in person on Friday, July 12, in Washington, DC, to host a dynamic discussion that not only highlights the complexities of AI policy but also sparks innovative approaches to address them. Experts and practitioners will lead conversations about pressing issues including algorithmic justice, bias, and inclusive participation; building trust, security, and safety; and regulatory oversight and action. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and engage in a vibrant exchange of ideas with thought leaders across policy, academia, and industry, facilitating deeper exploration and collaboration on key AI policy issues. The Forum is constructed to move beyond mere awareness of current challenges and opportunities and towards tangible pathways for positive impact in artificial intelligence policy.

Join us in advancing the conversation on AI in science policy and together, let’s pave the way for a future where AI empowers evidence-based decision-making and drives transformative policy outcomes.
