As these rules emerge in the U.S., Europe, and globally, consistency among regulatory approaches becomes increasingly important. CDT encourages the adoption and enforcement of rules to preserve the internet’s crucial qualities as an open and accessible forum, defends those rules in court, and strives to promote international policies consistent with these values.
