Bush Administration Limits Prosecution of Health Privacy Law Violations - The Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) has issued a ruling asserting that federal regulations, which criminalize the disclosure of personal health information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), only cover corporate entities such as insurance and health care providers.
